You can apply for Z visa also called employment visa. Usually the teaching institute will provide all the paper works needed for you, you just need to provide passport, photo, application form and heath certificate.
My travel plans are to fly to Hong Kong, spend a few days, travel to Shanghai and other points, unknown at this time, return to Hong Kong for the return flight back to U.S.
Is a Hong Kong visa application required as well as a China visa application?

Visa requirements for Hong Kong is differs according to the nationality of the applicant, citizens of quite many countries get visa on arrival or visa exempted. Please tell us your nationality.

In some cases you need to show return or onward air ticket, it depends on the type of visa you are applying for and your nationality.

Yes, you need visa for China , you also need Tibet travel permit in order to go to Mansarover. It is better to get Chinese visa in USA , you may get visa in Kathmandu but there is a chance that you might get rejected, so better to apply in your home country.

Well, there is not specific law and regulations for taking this type of medicines into China for private using, but considering you will spend 2-3 weeks in China , the amount of medicine might be considerable big, if so please try to downsize the bottles, or pack them in to several small bottles.

If you have all the documents supporting your application for Work visa then you do not need to book a return air ticket, one way ticket will be enough.

And have already been granted Business visa Invitation by the shanghai administration, But the Question is that the Managing Director who is a female has a 7months infant that she has to travel with , but was not included in the invitation how do we get a Visa for the Baby as she is too small to leave behind.

Hi,
I am French and I worked for 2 months in China. For this work I had to move to Taiwan for the last two months (July and August) and my visa does not allow me to come back in China.
My return plane tickets to France are as follow: Hangzhou->Guangzhou->Paris.
I understand I can go back to Hangzhou airport without any visa as long as I don’t leave the airport. But will I be able to fly to Guangzhou and then to Paris without leaving those airport, if I have my return tickets?

I am an Australian citizen, currently staying in Japan. I wish to take my touring bicycle from Japan to Shanghai by ferry and then ride my bicycle from Shanghai to Vietnam. Obviously, as I plan to leave China by crossing the land border into Vietnam, I will not have any ticket of passage out of China. How will this affect my visa application? Also, is it possible to obtain more than 30 days on the original visa? I suspect it might take me more than 30 days to reach Vietnam from Shanghai.

I am currently on a tourist visa valid for 2 entries (being able to attain 90 days each time). I will be leaving china in september to thailand then re-entering using my last and second entry into china.

Hi, I am planning to travel around china for 1 month from the 1st of February next year. However I am currently living in South Korea until January 31st, I have an ARC card but it will only have 1 month left on it when i want to travel. i am an Australian on holiday in Zhuhai. the L visa i obtained in Australia will expire on February 2.I want to stay in Zhuhai until March and then go to Lanzhou until my return flight to Austalia in April. Please advise me how and where i can get the longest visa and one which does not require me to leave China every month ( easy in Zhuhai but very difficult in Lanzhou.

Why has china this ridiculous policy of return ticket before a visa is issued.To my understanding its hard to board a plane anywhere without some sort of return or onward bound ticket..So if the visa is refused there goes money for hotel booking and flight, not all flights are refundable especially the cheap or promo ones, which would be wiser to purchase especially if one doesn’t know if a visa will or will not be issue, maybe they require this because visa’s are not often refused.Im sure this policy would put a lot of travelers off visiting china

I am a British Citizen with a Residence & Work Permit in Shanghai, having worked in Shanghai for the last 3 Years. I am currently in UK on vacation and will return to Shanghai on the 3rd February. I have renewed my UK Passport as there were no more blank Pages in my old one, this means my Residence Permit is in my Old Passport and there is nothing in my New one.
