I am visiting UAE at this moment, due to certain reason I have changed my plan to going Japan instead I want to visit China. Local travel agent saying I have to have residence permit of UAE in order to apply Chinese visa here, or I have to go to Chinese embassy in German. Is there any other way around? any help or information is highly appreciated!
Yes, in order to get a visa you need to apply in your home country unless you have residence permit of United Arab Emirates. But this rule is not very strictly applied, if you have made your travel arrangements n China such as hotel booking and air ticket which also shows your next destination you can get a transit visa.
