Chinese Visa Application
According to the Law of the People’s Republic of China Concerning the Administration of Foreigners Entering and Leaving the Country, foreign tourists must apply for visas at China’s foreign affairs offices, consulates or other organizations authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A group of five tourists or more can apply for a group tourist visa. This is usually handled by a travel agency organizing groups. People coming to China from countries which have visa agreements with China (such as agreements which exempt tourist groups from visas) are treated in accordance with these agreements.
If anyone wants to go to Tibet for a visit you can apply for a visa only with the consent of the Tourism Administration of the Tibet Autonomous Region or any one of its foreign representative offices. A passport is required for visa application, the passport shall be valid for at least 6 months beyond the duration of the tour.

I am travelling to China for one week to attend an academic conference. Do I need a business visa?
There is no strict boundary between business visa and tourist visa if you are going to a conference, you can select whichever easier for you, I would suggest tourist/visit visa.

I am Filipina working here in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This coming December 2011 i will have my yearly vacation to my country. I have already purchase air ticket and i am going to have stop over in your country from December 11, 2011 (arrival in shanghai China) and December 17, 2011 (departure) to Philippine.
Can i have transit visa? What are the requirements for transit visa? How much to pay?

I am Sierra Leonean working for the United Nations in Afghanistan. I would want to travel to China (Guangzhou) for business purpose next month October 2011 to buy construction materials and ship to Sierra Leone. Iam a Nigerian national. I have been living here in china as a student for about 4years. I got a school who wanna hire me to work as a teacher here. They are preparing working documents for me to exit to my country or any near by country to get my student visa changed to working Z visa to get back into china.Since my home country is very far from here in china,I really wanna fly to kazakshtan to apply for working visa with the documents my school is preparing.
Wanna know if it’s gonna be possible for you guys to fix it for me.
